Joe Pannullo

Senior Associate

Be practical as well as generous in your ideals. Keep your eyes on the stars, but remember to keep your feet on the ground.

— Theodore Roosevelt

The Wordsmith

Of all the things Joe could have done for a living, the only real non-negotiable was working (and talking!) with people. He’s a terrific conversationalist, loyal, and persistent, naturally capable of convincing candidates on the merits of an opportunity. He enjoys playing devil’s advocate, so be prepared to wade into some friendly intellectual sparring and defend your reasoning. It’s no surprise that even in his younger years, socializing was high on the list of job requirements — and found himself working walking backwards as a tour guide at university and behind a craft beer bar. Most remarkably, he almost used his talent for stringing together perfect prose to pursue a career as a professional rapper.

Joe is a senior associate and member of Acertitude’s Consumer and Industrial practices, bringing over five years of executive recruitment experience. Based in New York, he supports searches for C-suite and senior executives with tailored research, valuable market insights, and rigorous candidate assessment, leveraging his fantastic communication and collaboration skills.

Prior to joining the Acertitude team, Joe was a senior associate at Korn Ferry. There, he led the execution of executive search mandates, with an emphasis on supply chain and operations roles for public and private equity-owned businesses. Previously, Joe was a managing recruitment

consultant with another global executive search firm, primarily focused on finding top talent for clients in the financial services industry, spanning private equity, debt funds, hedge funds, asset managers, and investment banks. He first launched his career as a research analyst at a leading Washington D.C.-based consulting and governmental relations firm.

In his leisure time, Joe enjoys all that New York City has to offer – fantastic food, nightlife, and any and all football related activities in the fall. Spending time with friends and family, traveling (preferably anywhere where English isn’t the main language!), and studying towards his MBA are also high on the list.
