Katie Mackin

Senior Associate

Tell me what it is you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

— Mary Oliver, from her poem, The Summer Day

The Cheerleader

Katie’s passion for watching others put their talents on display makes her a supportive teammate and the ultimate cheerleader. Whether she’s sitting front row at a new Broadway show or watching her favorite sports team win a championship game, Katie is excited to support people who do what they love. Her team-oriented mindset transfers into her professional endeavors, too. She’s a natural at promoting trusted relationships in the workplace and loves nothing more than making those meaningful connections that help clients’ and candidates’ futures take off.

Katie is a senior associate in our Consumer and Industrial practices. Utilizing her strong industry expertise, proven search experience, and team-oriented mindset, she delivers outstanding results on board, CEO, and senior executive searches that lead to value creation, growth, and performance improvement for companies. Her responsibilities range from developing effective search strategies to performing market mapping activities to developing candidates.

Katie joins Acertitude from her role as a senior associate with Notch Partners, a boutique firm focused on placing pre-deal advisors for private equity due diligence, industry exploration, and board opportunities. In her three years with Notch, she primarily focused on consumer & industrial services.

While in college at the University of Notre Dame, Katie interned with the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum. She led public programs for visitors and VIPs, including the opportunity to assist with the induction ceremony for Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza. She earned a bachelor's degree in history.

Katie lives in New York City, where she finds easy access to Broadway shows. In her spare time, she participates in a trivia league with her friends (her best categories are history, geography, and, you guessed it, Broadway). In the fall, you won’t be surprised to find Katie rooting for her alma mater’s football team or cheering on her hometown’s Jacksonville Jaguars.
