What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

The Glass-Half-Fuller

Marisa is a true Midwesterner at heart – she was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs and attended college in Iowa. Marisa’s optimistic, glass-half-full attitude inspires her team members to see challenges as opportunities to grow and learn. She’s an expert in communications and marketing but can also play a pretty mean game of lacrosse. Marisa is nicknamed “the social butterfly” by her friends and family because she easily makes friends and relishes meeting new people wherever she goes. On her downtime, Marisa appreciates spending quality time watching Chicago sports teams with her loved ones or unplugging with her family down by the lake.

As someone who strives to see the good in all situations, at Acertitude, Marisa works to find the good in people as an associate in our Healthcare and Life Science team. Here, she works on search strategy development and identifying top-caliber individuals for C-level executive job placements. Her reporting insights and industry intelligence help strengthen business operations, support the firm with actionable analytics-based recommendations, and shape a valued experience for our clients.

Marisa is formerly of Spencer Stuart, where she began her executive search career as an intern in knowledge services and research before becoming a research specialist and client development analyst. Her experience includes supporting the creation of business development content and building insights that strengthen both client rapport and strategic planning. She has a major in journalism and communications and a minor in marketing and leadership from Wartburg College.

Marisa resides near Chicago, Illinois.  In her spare time, her volunteer experience includes working at an elderly residential retirement community serving as director of GiGi's Playhouse Inc, a company helping build leadership skills in children in down syndrome.
