Executive Search


Our partners are senior leaders and ambassadors who live our firm’s values. They achieve extraordinary, quality standards and are recognized as thought leaders in the industries in which they work. As a partner, you provide leadership and development to team members at all levels. You lead business building and long-term client relationships, and you engage in responsibilities that enhance the professionalism, profitability, and brand value of our firm. Successful performance in this role results from your substantial personal investment in our firm and evolves to greater management responsibilities including the opportunity to become a practice leader. Partners usually bring over 10 years of executive search experience or at least 15 years of industry or functional expertise.


As a principal, you are responsible for exceptional execution across all phases of the executive search process. Most principals are promoted from the associate role or learned the fundamentals of executive search after 7-10 years’ experience in an industry consistent with Acertitude specialty practices. Successful performance as a principal generally begins your transition into business building and client management responsibilities. If, however, you are an accomplished and highly regarded executor of executive search, but do not desire business development responsibilities, we offer equally valued responsibility for you to lead search execution.


You will work closely with one or more of our partners to quickly absorb the foundational skills required of an executive search consultant. You will have the opportunity to support both recruitment and business development efforts, with responsibility for crafting search strategies, market mapping, and candidate identification and assessment. You will also learn the intricacies of building strong client relationships. This role is an excellent fit for individuals with 3 plus years’ experience in the executive search industry and 5 plus years of industry or functional experience consistent with Acertitude’s practice areas.

Research Director

Research directors play a critical role in developing insights and intelligence to strengthen business operations, client experience, and reporting. You also deliver insights to help our leaders enhance decision-making and develop our growth strategy. You may have ownership of a specific vertical or practice area. You will also coach knowledge managers and associates on supporting the firm with insights, analytics, and actionable recommendations. Research directors bring at least 10 years of relevant experience in the knowledge management arena.

Knowledge Manager

Knowledge managers provide the insights, resources, and tools to deliver exceptional service and added value to clients. Your work also helps create thought leadership, facilitate knowledge transfer, and enhance Acertitude’s competitive positioning. You will provide strategic support on special projects, collecting intelligence and converting it into actionable insights. Effective communication, prioritization, and coordination is critical. Another great part of the role is mentoring and teaching researchers your savvy techniques. Knowledge managers typically bring 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Research Associate

As a research associate, you are actively involved in the development of search strategies and responsible for developing a highly qualified slate of prospects to meet or exceed the candidate specification for search engagements. You prepare progress reports and participate in client progress meetings. This role supports the knowledge and consulting teams and typically requires 3+ years of executive search experience.

Research Analyst

This is a frequent entry point into our consulting track. As a Research Analyst, you will work with our project teams to help scope assignments along with collecting and analyzing market and executive intelligence. You will use your native digital skills and online aptitude to contribute immediately to critical launch activity, while learning daily from our talented consultants. This role is well-suited for college graduates who are curious and self-directed, or early career professionals looking to transition into a highly relational, interactive professional services environment. Once you have refined your analyst skills, the next step on your Acertitude path could be advancing as a research associate or entering a more market-facing associate role.

Project Management

If you are highly organized, comfortable with detail, and capable of coordinating among a diverse group of team members, project management could be a perfect fit for you. Communication skills, tech savviness, and resourcefulness are also essential. You will plan and coordinate the execution of all parts of an executive search to ensure the achievement of time and contact commitments to a wide range of stakeholders. As you gain experience, your advancement path could lead you into more senior roles in knowledge management or research.
