Lavanya Sareen will help evolve the finance function to drive continued growth for the business

NEW YORK (July 17, 2019) — Acertitude, the executive search firm unleashing human potential, has recruited Lavanya Sareen as senior vice president of finance with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (“Norwegian”)(NYSE: NCLH), a leading global cruise company which operates the Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises brands.

Mr. Sareen joins as a key member of the senior executive team reporting directly to Mark Kempa, executive vice president and chief financial officer. As SVP, Finance, he will help evolve the finance function, support execution through data-driven financial analyses, and help drive continued growth for the business. The company expects to generate record full year earnings in 2019.

Sareen is a hospitality veteran with over 20-years of experience working with well-known brands such as Alaska Air Group, United Airlines, and Marriott Group Hotels. Before joining Norwegian, Sareen served as head of FP&A and investor relations for Alaska Air Group, leading the integration of the FP&A teams following the Virgin America acquisition. Prior, he worked as director of corporate strategy and business development role for United Airlines. He also spent several years progressing through finance roles with Continental Airlines. He held positions with Marriott Group Hotels and Taj Hotels earlier in his career.

Sareen earned an M.B.A., Finance from Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Management and a B.S., Hospitality Management from the Indian Institute of Hotel Management.

Acertitude Managing Director Nate DaPore supported by Partner Vicki Devlin led the SVP search, together with Lynn White, executive vice president and chief talent officer and Mark Kempa, chief financial officer at Norwegian.
