Acertitude was born out of a desire to reimagine what executive search could be. A fortuitous meeting between Managing Partners Kevin O’Neill, Rick DeRose, and Guy Barnes led to a shared epiphany: the industry had lost its way.
Candidates were treated poorly, frequently exiting a search disenchanted. This impacted not only the search firm’s brand — but more troubling — the client’s reputation with consumers. Larger firms were increasingly inclined to favor shareholders over clients, investing in databases over people, decisions which often failed to produce lasting results.
In 2015, Kevin and Rick launched our new challenger firm with the extreme commitment to always – and without exception – keep client and candidate interests front and center. And in 2020, always late to a party, Guy joined to lead our international expansion.
Acertitude represents this new era in the evolution — or perhaps the revolution — of executive search, bringing art and science together again to ensure an outcome and experience that is without equal.
