Q&A with Dan
1. Tell us about your path here. Why did you choose to join Acertitude?
I’ve spent most of my career in executive recruiting, both at large organizations like Korn Ferry and smaller boutique firms specializing in private equity. What drew me to Acertitude was the compelling opportunity for growth, not only professionally but the chance to play a significant role during a time of exciting growth for the entire business.
2. Describe a day in the life of Dan. Favorite parts of your job?
Since joining the team, my focus has been executing C-level searches for private equity firms and their portfolio companies. I can confidently say there’s no “typical” day, although there are similar ones. On any given day, you can find me connecting with candidates and clients, as well as working with the team to develop and refine our search strategy, ensuring high-quality execution. In a nutshell, my favorite part of my role is the opportunity to own my development. Not a day goes by where I’m not working to elevate my skills to the next level and reflect how I can be a more valuable partner for our clients.
3. What is special about working here?
The people. Saying they’re “bought-in” doesn’t even begin to describe the collective hunger and desire to learn and grow that each member of the team possesses. Everyone is committed to executing searches at the highest level of quality. Also doesn’t hurt that they know how to have fun…
4. How has Acertitude helped you grow and perform at your best?
At Acertitude, there are no roadblocks stopping you from performing at a high level. The firm allows you to expand professionally while maintaining close client relationships – it’s unlike any team I’ve been a part of in the past. If you have a suggestion, share it. If you think something can be done better, create a plan. Anyone can share their opinion, just be prepared to practice what you preach.
5. In what ways — big or small — do you live out our mission of unleashing human potential?
Our mission of unleashing human potential can be found in every aspect of my job. For me, it shines through daily when interacting with candidates and clients, whether I’m playing the role of a valuable partner to candidates as they make important career decisions and/or uncovering our clients’ greatest challenges to uncover the best talent in the market for their needs. As principal, I understand the importance of being a team player and providing your team with the necessary resources to succeed.
6. What advice do you have for people looking to join Acertitude? What qualities do people need to be successful here?
To state simply, do it. We’re doing great things and continuing to grow. All you need to succeed is the ability to be agile, and forever intellectually curious. Just be ready to welcome new opportunities with open arms.
