NEW YORK (October 11, 2023) — Acertitude, the executive search firm unleashing human potential, has recruited Sean Wechter as the new chief information officer of Boomi, the private equity-backed pioneer of cloud-based integration platform as a service (iPaaS), and a category-leading global software as a service (SaaS) company.

As CIO, Wechter will develop and oversee the technology roadmap as Boomi continues to drive innovation and a steep growth trajectory of its worldwide network of 800 partners. His leadership will extend to evolving IT infrastructure, security, data science, and enterprise systems to partnering closely with the executive leadership team.

Wechter is a visionary technology executive with over 20 years of expertise across the product and IT functions, including leading engineering, security initiatives, network/IT infrastructure, and applications. His broad range of experience extends from Fortune 500 to high-growth private equity companies, inclusive of leading and developing world-class information systems, security, analytics, and DevOps organizations for rapid-growth PE-backed global technology leaders.

Acertitude’s Jessica Tvelia, partner, collaborated closely with Boomi’s CEO and CFO to wrap up the search successfully. From start to finish, the project closed in 91 days. Acertitude’s Technology Practice is highly knowledgeable in serving clients in the SaaS space, which represents 50 percent of the team’s engagements.

“Sean’s track record of delivering top-tier results across PE-backed technology organizations and managing complex global teams make him an excellent fit for the CIO position, a role that is more critical than ever in today’s environment,” said Tvelia.

Prior to taking the helm at Boomi, Wechter served as CIO at Benefitfocus, where he leveraged market-leading SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions to lead the information technology and data organizations. Additionally, he served as CIO at Qlik, and led award-winning technical transformations at PwC, Xfinity, Dell, and Gartner. Wechter holds an MBA in Management from Bentley College, and a Bachelor of Science from Clarkson University. He is a certified Six Sigma green belt, certified Java programmer, and holds a U.S. patent for a fraud detection system.
